Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany – Green Talents Competition
 

The international "Green Talents" competition of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) offers talented young researchers from throughout the world the opportunity to visit the leading environmental technology location, Germany, establish new contacts, and build networks with outstanding institutions and companies. Under the patronage of Minister Dr. Annette Schavan, the competition was aimed mainly at young researchers and engineers in the fields of cleaner production, contaminated land management, resource efficiency, water and renewable energies.
MFC ensured a maximum level of high-caliber applicants from Mainland China through smart media relations and strong article placement in target media, as well as follow-up information and coverage on the competition winners and their trips to Germany. MFC created comprehensive Chinese-language press materials covering the pre-, during- and post-event stages of the competition. Highly relevant media were selected and ongoing contact with respective journalists and editors was maintained in order to further increase story pick-up. MFC was able to achieve the highest coverage volume of the event amongst all participating countries.
