In order to consolidate awareness of the Freudenberg Group in China, an ongoing media outreach program was implemented. The aim of this plan is to nurture long-term relations with key business and B2B media as well as to introduce the Regional Representative for China to deliver consistent messaging.
MF Consulting created a long-term media relations plan, including press meetings, press releases, feature articles and milestones. Large-scale press meetings took place in Shanghai and Beijing, with the aim of creating a general knowledge and understanding of the Freudenberg Group. These press conferences were carefully organized, with arrangements ranging from simultaneous translation, VIP interview rooms and location branding to collateral production, executive briefings and interview scheduling. MF Consulting achieved a very high amount of coverage for these events, with articles appearing in China’s most prominent business and general publications.
MF Consulting prepared Chinese-language press materials, speaker bios, company backgrounder and factsheets and photo captions for press kits, whilst the speaker presentations themselves were carefully translated, with recommendations on expanding China relevance.
Media were pitched with a view to a long-term cooperation, with date reservation letters and branded gifts distributed as tools for reigniting the interest in Freudenberg. Coverage was monitored comprehensively, with regular updates submitted to Freudenberg Group HQ in Germany.
On an ongoing basis, MF Consulting provided detailed strategic suggestions for leveraging quality coverage and multiplier outreach in China.
