To support their promotional efforts at the 2007 Dalian Beer Festival and to raise awareness of their intent to drive beer sales in China, MF Consulting organized and implemented a media outreach in the form of a press conference. The aim was to use the advertising effect of this event to widely communicate Baltika’s market entrance in China.
Journalists from China's leading newspapers and broadcast media attended, as well as Russian print and broadcast media.
Following the brief of the Russian partner agency, MF Consulting selected a top location for the press meeting and made all arrangements from catering to simultaneous translation. Background materials in Chinese and Russian were prepared for use in media pitching, whilst press materials were adapted to include China angles and full Chinese- and Russian-language press kits in specifically-designed press folders were produced. Photographers and videographers were contracted both at Baltika's booth at the Dalian Beer Festival as well as at the press conference location in Beijing. Photos were compiled and submitted both to the client and to journalists. Comprehensive follow-up was conducted with all media, resulting in a very wide scope of coverage for Baltika, which was monitored and compiled for the client.
